Oceanit 2019 Technology Showcase

HeatX demonstrations will be features at  Oceanit’s 2019 Technology Showcase event set for May 7th in Houston, during the Offshore Technology Conference.  The event will feature technologies like HeatX that range from disruptive innovations to scalable turnkey solutions.

Oceanit scientists will be on hand, demonstrating the latest in Oceanit’s advanced nanomaterials, along with other groundbreaking technologies such as subsea IoT laser communications, acoustically responsive smart pipelines, advanced artificial intelligence for cybersecurity, and more – all of which can make significant impacts across Energy and many other industry sectors.

The event takes place on Tuesday, May 7th from 5.30-9:00pm at the Houston Exponential building (formerly The Houston Technology Center) for technology demonstrations, food, and drinks. Meet the Oceanit team and learn about the cutting-edge work and products transitioning from Mind to Market at Oceanit.

2019 NACE UAE Corrosion Conference

The 2019 NACE UAE Corrosion Conference was held from January 28-31 at the Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi. The key topic was corrosion prevention and control as a critical issue for the future of development and industry in the Middle East and around the world. Oceanit’s presentation to the NACE Corrosion Conference attendees focused on heat exchangers as critical and costly pieces of equipment at energy production plants and refinery facilities.

HeatX at the 2018 International Pittsburgh Coal Conference

The 2018 International Pittsburgh Coal Conference was held from October 15-18 at the China University of Mining & Technology in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. This year was the 35th annual conference, which alternates venues between the University of Pittsburgh and the China University of Mining & Technology. At the conference, Dr. Vinod Veedu delivered a HeatX presentation titled, “Novel Nanocomposite Surface Treatment for High Efficiency, Low Emission Coal Power” which focused on how Oceanit’s functional surface treatments could help the world to achieve this 7% efficiency gain.

HeatX at the ADB Asia Water Forum 2018, Manila

Oceanit delivered a presentation titled, “Functional Surfaces for Highly Efficient, Low Carbon, Low Cost Desalination” which focused on how nanocomposite surfaces, like HeatX, can greatly increase the efficiency of desalination processes.  Current desalination efforts are typically high-cost in that they consume a lot of energy in order to desalinate saline water.
